What we do / Supporting us

Cherwell Cats Protection was formed in 2006 and covers Bicester, Banbury, Brackley and the surrounding villages.

Postcodes covered:- OX5, OX16, OX17, OX25, OX26, OX27, NN13

The Branch's activities include:

Cat rescue - fostering & re-homing - part cost/full cost neutering - lost and found register - free advice on all aspects of cat care

We are a relatively small branch with limited resources in both personnel and finances and rely on a group of enthusiastic volunteers supported by our own fund-raising, plus donations from the public.  Donations are not just monies, it can be cat food, toys, bedding etc.

As a team we rescue, neuter, foster, rehabilitate and re-home many cats and kittens each month!

Our foster homes cater for tiny kittens and their mums, larger kittens, adult neutered cats and cats needing treatment.

This is all down to the hard work and dedication of some 'die hard' volunteers.  Think you could help increase these numbers?  Please call us 07716 596212

Your kindness and generosity is really appreciated by everyone here at the branch and to everyone who has donated money, articles or time and to anyone who has adopted one of our very special cats or kittens,  a very big THANK YOU!

But of course the more cats we help the more support we need...

We would love to eventually have a fundraising team in Banbury as we carry out alot of work in Banbury yet we have noone to fundraise. Is this something you could do/ organise? please contact us!

We do not just rely on cash donations:
Other items we regularly take are...

Fosterers needed

For more information click here

As we are a small branch we are always looking for new fosterers, these will be in home fosterers. Fostering is hands on cat welfare work. Cat fosterers look after felines on a short term basis normally in a spare room in their home.

Becoming a cat fosterer can be very rewarding as it is a great chance to make a difference to the life of a needy feline while they are waiting to find a new home.

People from all walks of life who can spare some time are encouraged to contact the branch which provides an essential cat rehoming service in the local area.
